Whippany, NJ – One of the largest privately held insurance and surety brokerage firms in North America, American Global recently announced the formation of their Center of Excellence for Infrastructure, naming new Head of Infrastructure, François Wasselin, to lead the endeavor.
In his new role, François will expand the Center’s reach and resources while continuing his work alongside colleagues like Caryn Maxfield, whose deep construction knowledge, negotiation skills and expert legal advice, make her a key senior member of the new American Global Center of Excellence.
Chief executives at American Global view the Center as a logical next step in the evolution of the firm. CEO Michael Marino said, “François’ distinct and diverse experience makes him uniquely qualified to spearhead this important initiative.” David Marino, President & COO added, “Francois has the ability to assemble a wide range of talented professionals who will work collaboratively to move the industry forward with fresh new solutions.”

Under François’ leadership, American Global’s new Center of Excellence will:
• Provide project sponsors and key constituents with risk management advice during development, design, construction, and operational phases of the lifecycle of infrastructure projects
• Support both insurable and non-insurable risk profiles.
• Advise on M&A risks and strategies
• Bring thought leadership to the sector to innovate on emerging trends
• Leverage data, analytics and AI to bring timely insights
• Look after opportunities with a focus on North and Latin American projects
